MEFIS is a new system by Mirage Engineering for the insulation of external façades and coverings, composed of porcelain stoneware slabs anchored to EPS panels. Simple, effective and attractive, MEFIS is a revolutionary, ready-to-use solution for the world of architecture and construction.

THERMAL INSULATION
The multiple thicknesses available for the EPS panels guarantee optimal thermal insulation that can be used for most works.
ACOUSTIC INSULATION
The mass of the outer layer in porcelain stoneware helps improve the acoustic performance of the wall.
STYLE
Over 200 colours, 4 surface finishes and 5 style effects inspired by natural surfaces, for maximum style and design freedom.
SAFETY
Safety is the strong point of the MEFIS system. Mechanical-type fixings ensure the stoneware slabs from falling even if the glue should come away, and the same applies to the insulating panel.
SHOCK RESISTANCE
MEFIS can be installed up to zero altitude, thus solving the problems caused by occasional impact and hail.

The installation of MEFIS does not require specific know-how or particular equipment other than that normally used for outdoor cladding.

Position the starter profiles - LITOKOL ESA 225.80 or similar – and secure them with fischer screws.

After preparing the supports in compliance with the UNI 117175 standard, glue the MEFIS panels using an adhesive for EPS such as LITOKOL Hyperflex K100 or similar, following the manufacturer’s instructions (full spread, or even better, around the edges + 3 points).

Fix the panels using the dedicated stainless steel hooks, with expansion plugs of varying length depending on the thickness of the panel.

Apply the other panels in the same way indicated above.

Insert the levellers to make the ceramic surface even, without pulling excessively.

Seal the joints with Litokol Fill Good sealant or similar, available in a wide range of colours, and create joint areas using Ottoseal S70 or similar, depending on the project.

The system includes special pieces such as intradoses and sills, which can be adapted and finished on the construction site.
Special trims and processes.
WINDOW FRAMES
This special trim is composed of a porcelain stoneware slab bonded with Aerogel insulation. To form the corner, remove the excess insulation and seal with silicone.

BUILDING CORNERS
At the outer corners of a building, for correct installation, it is necessary to remove the excess EPS and mask the edges of the slab in porcelain stoneware.
